How do I search for a document or a mail?

  • Fulcrum Advanced Search allows you to search the entire Fulcrum workspace for documents and files, project metadata, Fulcrum Mail and documents attached to any Fulcrum Mail.

    ✓  Advanced Search can search based on words and phrases within Office documents and readable PDF’s

     You can also find any item across Mail, and Mailed Documents

      You can apply filters based on the Discipline, Document Status, or other metadata that files or mails are tagged with 

     If you want to search for a previous version of a sent document, select the tick box under Miscellaneous.

    1. Enter the search terms on the text box on the left navigation. This is accessible from all Fulcrum pages. Clicking enter opens up the results in the advanced search page. 

    2. Search results are grouped into the three tabs - Mail, showing the mails associated with the search terms, Mailed Documents, showing the documents that were sent or received in a Fulcrum mail that are related to the search terms, and File Storage, which shows all the items in the File Storage that are associated with the search terms. The number of items found are indicated by the counters in the brackets.

    3. You can also add additional filters to narrow down the search and to limit the number of items returned. Click on the Show/hide Filters button to show the additional options available. 

    4. Clicking on the tabs shows you the results related to the search terms, and filtered by any of the filters chosen.
