When you get a mail notification from Fulcrum saying an action has been completed on a Fulcrum mail you had sent and the response is one of the following - “Accepted with Comments,” “Approved with Comments,” “Declined,” or “Rejected,” you can click into the mail notification (or directly from Fulcrum), view the mail.
The re-submit button on a mail screen only becomes when the response received is one of the following: “Accepted with Comments,” “Approved with Comments,” “Declined,” or “Rejected.”
Clicking on the Re-submit button opens a new mail dialog where some of the metadata such as Mail Type, Reason for Issue, Discipline among others are preserved from the original submission. You can enter the recipients, a new subject line (if necessary), Workflow Type, Response Required and Due Date and enter the subject and send the re-submissions after attaching the revised documents or drawings.
This first re-submission would be appended with the revision, in this instance, A, and the ID would be DP-CORR-CS-DRG-B1D1-C1-0001-A.
You can view the list of re-submissions and all related mail for a submission by clicking on the “Related Mail” button from any mail dialog.
With the help of submissions, if, for instance, a submission is declined, you can forward it to others on your team for feedback, assign any actions to be done on that submission. When you receive the response to the declined submission, you can then use the re-submit button to respond and submit revised documents or drawings.
Forwarded mails are also tracked in Fulcrum. For forwarded mails, the mail ID is the same as the original mail.
