  • Documents in Fulcrum are codified with unique filenames set up according to certain conventions. When necessary, you can override the document ID of a document with the following steps.

    1. Navigate to the library which has the document whose ID you want to override. Check Out the document.

    2. Select the document whose ID you want to override, and click on Properties. You can do this by clicking on the ellipses button, or from the Files tab on the ribbon.

    3. The following dialog box is displayed, where you can view and edit the properties of a document.

    4. Click on the edit icon next to the Name field.

    5. This enables an editable text box for the ID part of the filename where you can enter the new ID of your choice.6. Click on the green checkmark button to Save the new ID. Clicking on the X button cancels the change.

    7. After saving the ID, click on the Save button on the Properties dialog box. The file ID is updated.

    8. If you try to change the document ID and enter an ID that is already assigned to another document, you will see an error message asking you to enter a different value. Enter a different value to save the changes.
